Some worry that the world will end tomorrow
Some worry about the new millennium
about crashes in the market, how computers might spark it,
but we're all in this right up until the end!

But there's a birdie lying underneath my window
because he couldn't see the window pane
He was whistling along real happy, when he took the great big nappy
Suddenly his arse shot through his brain!

A man who didn't want to be happy
griped and swore and lived in misery
decided he'd change his ways on that day of all those days
when he was fried by lightning suddenly on the street!

But there's a chicken that was hatched somewhere this morning
won't even get to know it's mother hen,
all it knows is other chickens, they're all happy to be livin'
but there're all fried chicken in the end!

There's a driver of a car out on the highway,
was speeding and didn't even think
of a skunk crossing the road, that got squat for being too slow
but the driver's kicking up the bigger stink!

We all know that it's got to happen
you're lucky if you're happy to the end,
but if you're griping or just plain miserable, or if your frown is just too visible
think about that birdie now and then!
