The TwoFive Tour

Buddy Wasisname And The other Fellers have a case of TwoFive! Yes, it’s their 25th year and another wicked tour is coming your way. What started out in 1983 as a bit of fun and foolishness has grown to something that doesn’t seem to go away.
As always there will be lots of ‘da new stuff’. Kevin has a country truckin’ song about the worst hotel he’s ever stayed at. Chaulkie wrote a monologue about stress that Buddy is all fired up to perform! As always, Johnson has a whole new slate of wonderful tunes. Their bassist, Byron Pardy, will be layin’ down the bass in the back, incredibly solid and talented as always.
The TwoFive tour will also be a bit of a look back. A lot of the favorites from over the years will be revisited. Songs from Chaulkie’s pen, recitations and melodies from Johnson (all the stuff the public has been asking for) will be the ingredients for a big pot of eclectic ‘Buddy Stew’. There will be entertaining stories from years on the road and material such as Have You Seen, Bridget and John, The Glow of the Kerosene Lamp, Me n’ Bill, the Townie and the Bayman, Makin’ for the Harbour and All Along the Watchtower…Wait now. Not that one. That was Dylan.
The boys are also pushing a new DVD. ‘The Dirty Big DVD’ was shot in Carbonear and since its release sales have been brisk. In addition, there is new studio album that is being primped and polished and is slated for release in 2009.
Are there any signs that the boys are giving up this music racket? Chaulkie figures they are only just getting it down. They can’t quit now! And Johnson can’t stop doing his push-ups on stage every night-sure the young fellers will think he’s getting old!!
The Arts & Culture Centre Tour will start on Sept. 16, 2008 – tickets on sale now.
